UNICEF Next Gen is a group of young professionals who are passionate about impacting the world with UNICEF. With the help of people like you, we've raised over more than $5 million to support 11 UNICEF Projects. Last year's campaign raised $1 million for the Let Us Learn Project which provides education to the millions of Syrian children forced out of their homes by the conflict.
By supporting this event you will stand behind two key campaigns:
1. UNICEF Emergency Relief Funds: When disaster strikes, UNICEF is the lead agency in charge of water as part of the U.N. coordinated international response. UNICEF also focuses on providing children with safety, education, food and emotional support during crises like conflicts, diseases, and natural disasters such as the recent Hurricane Matthew. We need to have emergency funds ready-to-go!
2. UNICEF Violence Interruption Program in Jamaica: Jamaica has one of the highest homicide rates in the world. UNICEF uses the "Cure Violence" methodology that treats violent crime like an epidemic, tracing the source and employing "violence interrupters" from within communities to intervene in conflicts before they turn deadly.
